> Over-Water Kit
The club now has
over-water kit available for loan to members
planning water crossings.
The kit is located in the tea room / booking out
room of Jim Greenshield's cabin at Dunkeswell. Booking out is simple. Just
contact Bernard Bader on 01823 256046 to advise when the kit is "out"
and when it is "returned". The kit is in a grey sports bag and
includes the instructions set out below.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
DO NOT
CARRY OUT BATTERY OR GPS TESTING ON THE PLB. AN ANNUAL TEST WILL BE
CARRIED OUT AND RECORDED IN THE KIT MAINTENANCE LOG ONCE A YEAR BY A
NOMINATED CLUB MEMBER. THIS IS BECAUSE THE EXPIRY DATE OF THE
PLB
BATTERY (APRIL 2015) CANNOT BE ACHIEVED IF THE MAXIMUM OF ALLOWED PLB
BATTERY AND GPS TESTS OVER A 5 YEAR PERIOD IS EXCEEDED.
Penalty
for bringing back the kit wet - hosting the next club night
on ditching!
